Cedar Crest International School is an ultra-modern basic school situated at Assin Edubiase, near Assin Foso in the Assin south District, in the central region of Ghana. Cedar Crest International School (CCIS) Ghana is a Pre-School, Kindergarten, Primary through to Junior High (JHS) non-denominational Institution. The school operates to assist all parents to educate their children in a safe and sound environment, from academic and moral perspectives and provide resources and programmes necessary to assist parents in achieving a balanced education for their wards with emphasis on vision, motivation, character shaping, creativity and excellence. To achieve these objectives, CCIS has instituted a robust and dynamic organisational structure. This structure includes among others the CCIS Board, a Principal, and administrative staff who all work together to help keep the school above reproach and be accountable to families and the community it serves.

The establishment of Cedar Crest International School is partly in response to the call by the government of Ghana for the private sector [institutions and individuals] as well as civil society organizations to build and operate private schools to augment it strive to provide and sustain high level quality education required for national building and development, on the premise of providing quality but affordable basic education to the people of Assin and environs since they are mostly disadvantaged in this regard. Cedar Crest is of the view that quality education is a sure means of improving lives and empowering the citizenry towards socio-economic and mental liberation, as well as a sure way of equipping the citizenry with the requisite knowledge and skills for nation building.

In its quest to making quality education available to all, particularly the marginalized communities, Cedar Crest aims to create branches in communities with abysmal educational standard in the future, in its bid to help educate greater number of people and equip them with the requisite skills to improve their living standard.
